Project Background

Background

In the mobile-first era, the Taishin Securities website was outdated, lacking in usability, and falling behind competitors. Therefore, our design team was entrusted to revamp the website.

Target Audience

Taishin Securities targets young, novice users. To cater to these users' needs, our team aimed to curate content that is easy to understand and consistent in a friendly tone.

My Goal: Redesign the Stock Affairs Page for amateurs

After receiving the mission, the first thing I did was go through all the current pages to learn about the stock affairs Taishin offers and find out the underlying problems. Since I was a new user with a fresh eye, I jotted down what problems I faced while browsing, which I believe would be close to customers’ real pain point.

Design Process

01

Restructuring Information Architecture

I combined the overly similar pages to create a new homepage for stock affairs.

02

Conducting Competitor Analysis

I looked up other websites that present stock affairs and took reference of how they designed the information.

03

Wireframing

I designed the curated content, using high-fidelity wireframes to communicate more clearly with our clients.

04

Design Handoff

After finishing the wireframes, I documented the thought process and left annotations on design details in the Figma file, which was then handed over to UI designers to complete the mockup.

Designing the Details

Painpoint 01
Content is not curated so that users can easily consume it.

Because all eight services are presented at the same level of importance, users must think before selecting the appropriate option.

Solution 01
Information about the shareholders' meeting has been combined into a single page.

Users can search by entering the agency name or the stock ID/name, and all information will be displayed on the same page, eliminating the need to navigate between pages.

Painpoint 02
Redundant information reduces the efficiency of finding information.

Highly related information is scattered across multiple pages, requiring users to visit additional pages to gather all information.

Solution 02
Information about shareholders’ meeting is merged into a page.

Users can search by entering the agency name or the stock ID/name to find all information on the same page; there is no more need to switch between pages.

Painpoint 03
Unwanted content wastes users’ scarce attention.

A large portion of the content provided does not meet user needs and does not entice users to continue reading.

Solution 01
User-friendly content:
1. Fewers words
2. Friendly tone
3 .Easy-to-understand wording
